Food can be traded or looted, and never spoils. If food is not ingested in time, the character will proceed to more ravenous hunger and lose more life over time. A fork and dish icon will appear in the lower right of your main HUD.
Over the course of the day, the character will become hungry and require an intake of food. Bandages are sold from Zone traders and should be the first item you loot from a corpse or stash. Unless bandages (with quick-coagulant) is applied, you will die instantly from a hemmorage (unlike Homer Simpson).
